Apartment of Pershyi Kryvorizkyi journalists affected in missile strike on Kryvyi Rih

The apartment of Pershyi Kryvorizkyi journalist Olena Smolina was damaged in the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on March 29, Olena Smolina reports to Kateryna Lysiuk, the Institute of Mass Information representative in Dnipropetrovska oblast.

"A missile hit a few hundred meters from my house. This is the second time since the start of the full-scale invasion that my apartment has been damaged. These are the only windows (on the balcony) that survived the July 31, 2023 strike. That time all our windows were broken, we replaced them with enforced plastic ones. Now these windows were also broken by the blast wave," said Olena Smolina.

The journalist lives in a densely populated residential neighborhood in the city center with no military objects nearby. The journalist was home alone at the time of the strike.

"I was washing my hair, so I didn't see the notification. I unconsciously was in a safe place, so to speak," says Olena Smolina.

While dealing with the aftermath of the attack, the journalist received minor cuts to her leg, but did not seek medical assistance.
