On March 7, 2013, Serhiy Andrushko, chief-editor of "Against the night with Pavel Sheremet" program on TVi channel, filed a suit in the District Administrative Court of Kyiv against the Central Election Commission of Ukraine for refusal to give him comlete autobiographies of Mykola Azarov, Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vitaliy Klitchko, Media Law Institute reported.
On October 19, 2012, Andrushko filed with the CEC a request for copies of the complete autobiographies, educational background and employment chronology of parliamentary candidates who were the first numbers in the electoral lists of their parties, namely, Mykola Azarov, Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vitali Klitschko. On October 24, 2012, CEC provided only cut information, refusing to provide copies of autobiographies, for reasons of protection of confidential information about individuals and the lack of public need for such information.
Andrushko decided to challenge the denial in court. Legal support of the case is provided by media-lawyer Diana Protsenko.
