American journalist and media lawyer Mary Mycio died in the US.
This was announced by Marta Dyczok, a professor at Western University Canada.
“Just read this very sad news from Mary Mycio‘s husband, a truly unique human being has left us,” she wrote on Facebook.
Maria died of lung cancer.
She worked as a correspondent for Los Angeles Times. She was the director of IREX U-Medi Media Legal Protection and Education Program and a member of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America.
Mary Mycio’s book “Wormwood Forest: A Natural History of Chernobyl” was released in 2005.
