20 unknowns broke into "RIA News Ukraine" office
News agency "RIA Novosti Ukraine" said that today about 20 people broke into their office in Kyiv, demanding to stop broadcasting videoconference between cities of Ukraine. The video conference was a part of association of Russian fellow-countrymen convention in Ukraine. The agency reported it on its website.
"Aggressive young people demanded to stop the event, shouting anti-Russian slogans. Journalists called security service and police while staying put."- the article says.
Young people left the news office before police arrival.
The office is working normally now.
Spokesperson for Kyiv police Oksana Blyshchyk told "Ukrainska pravda"(Ukrainian truth) that police didn't receive calls about the accident. However, given the publicity of accident, chief of Pechersk police department decided to sent investigative team to Rustaveli street, 16.
Head of Press Service "RIA Novosti Ukraine" Andriy Borodin told "Ukrainska pravda" that about 20 young people, who called themselves "activists of the Maidan", came into the office and said that they "will not allow Moscovites to hold a press conference."
Videoconference with cities of Ukraine was organized by "Russia Today" agency as a part of "Congress of association of Russian fellow-countrymen in Ukriane. "It was planned that leaders of Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and West-ukainian local associations would resume the work done for the current year."
