The most part of stories having features suggesting they are commissioned in online media outlets covered activity of Yulia Tymoshenko (17%) and Opposition platform-For Life (13%).
Such are the conclusions of survey held by the Institute of Mass Information in online editions during the period between March 4 and 8, 2019*.
Altogether, throughough the 5 days period the monitoring was held, the IMI experts revealed 314 political articles that have attributes of commissioned stories in 14 online editions. 11% of them were marked as advertising, but the tabs were not corresponding to the law ‘On advertisement”.
The top position in the list of commissioners of jeansa stories was Yulia Tymoshenko: 17% of would-be commissioned political stories were in favour of her. The mostly this candidate for the presidency was promoted by “Obozrevatel” (obozrevatel.com), “RBK-Ukraine 9rbc.ua) and the 24th channel 924tv.ua).
13% of stories with attributes of commissioned ones were revealed in the benefit to the party “Opposional platform –For life”. Almost the half of the stories in favour of this political force was revealed at the web-site of 112th channel (45%).
The number of stories in favour of the candidate for the residency Yuriy Boyko was 11% of stories and they came out the mostly on the 112% channel (112.ua) and NewsOne (newsone.ua).
The same number (11%) of stories covered activity of Volodymyr Zelensky. The most part of stories were placed in web-site of Znay.ua 9znaj.ua).
10% of stories with attributes of being commissioned came out in the favour of the president Petro Poroshenko.
8,5% of would-be commissioned stories covered the activity of another candidate Anatoliy Grytsenko, for the most part published in Obozrevatel (obozrevatel.com).
The survey revealed 30 stories with attributes of anti-propaganda and black PR. 67% of such stories were covering Petro Poroshenko.
The most of would-be commissioned stories were identified in obozrevatel.com (59%), 112 channel (55%) and Znay.ua (43%).
