In Luhanska oblast, broadcasting tower is built to cover occupied territories

08.08.2017, 09:49
In Bakhmutivka, Luhanska oblast, a 134-meter-tall TV broadcasting tower was built, owing to which the signal of Ukrainian TV and radio stations will cover territories controlled by the government and adjacent to the “separation line”, and also a part of the occupied territories (Luhansk, Alchevsk). This was reported on the official Facebook page of the press service of the ATO HQ. The construction took one month. As the press service mentioned, it was the third broadcasting tower built in the last two years after those in Kramatorsk and Chonhar. “In the period of years 2015-2017, foreign partners provided over  60 communication arrays and one TV broadcasting tower. In addition, for the ATO zone in those years 57 FМ radio frequencies were allocated – approximately 30% of all frequencies provided for use in Ukraine. That is, one third of total available frequencies were allocatedto Donetska and Luhanska oblasts, and public broadcasting received 24 frequencies in the ATO zone”, the ATO press service informed.
