An Ukraina TV camera crew came under Russian fire twice while filming a news story in Luch village, Mykolaiv oblast, on June 19, the channel’s correspondent Artem Dzhepko reports to IMI.
According to him, no one was injured in the shelling strike.
“We are fine, but only because we are fast runners and react quickly to shots being fired. We came under fire twice within an hour. First time it was a GRAD or cluster munitions. And the second time was something heavy. Maybe a tank, a self-propelled gun, or a ‘Pion’,” Artem said.
He does not believe that they were targeted purposefully. Artem says that the Russian troops shell the villages of Luch, Shevchenkove, and Prybuhske daily.
The journalists say they were filming a story about the people living under shelling.
“We went there to learn how people survive, what they eat, and to record the ruscists’ crimes. Then we wanted to go visit our troops at their positions. But the shelling was very intense, so we left quickly,” said Artem Dzhepko.
