The office of the newspaper Novyny Kramatorska (Donetsk oblast) was severely damaged in the Russian air strike on 5 July, Novyny Kramatorskoho Raionu reported.

The media outlet said that this was not the first attack on the building housing the office. During the previous strike, the blast wave had damaged the windows, doors, furniture, and equipment. This time the destruction was much more extensive.

The blast blew out and damaged the recently restored windows once again. The building’s facade, the staircase, the common hallway windows and the door to the floor where the editorial office is located were also affected. Staff are now unable to enter the premises to fully assess the extent of the damage.

“The offices of the newspapers Novyny Kramatorska and Pryvit, which were located in the Household Life Building at 19-A Druzhby Street, were almost completely destroyed by Russian air bombs. Russia must bear responsibility for this. The deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, hundreds of thousands of broken destinies, hundreds of thousands of destroyed buildings and apartments are on Russia’s record, on the Russians’s conscience. I wish them the same,” said Novyny Kramatorska founder Oleksandr Tolstohuzov.
