Anna Sokolova, editor of the Pryazovska Pravda newspaper, stated that she ceases her work as a journalist from today.

She announced this on the media’s Telegram channel.

Sokolova mentioned that the decision had to do with the “current conditions.”

“I do not own the media company I manage, so, of course, I cannot automatically remove myself from the registers. However, from now on I ask you not to associate my name with Priazovska Pravda and any other publication,” the journalist wrote.

She also warned readers that starting from this day she has nothing to do with any publications of Priazovska Pravda.

Anna Sokolova is the head of the Editorial Office of the Henichesk District Newspaper “Pryazovska Pravda.”

The district newspaper stopped coming out in print about six months ago. Since the occupation of Henichesk by russian troops, the newspaper’s editorial office has published its materials on its Facebook page and Telegram.

In 2021, “Pryazovska Pravda” turned 100 years old. This is one of the oldest mass media in the Kherson region.

On March 12, the Henichevsk-based media outlet Novyi Vizyt announced they were shutting down.
