TV channel ZIK fired journalist Kostiantyn Lokhvytskyi due to the incident that took place on August 24 during “March of the unbroken” on the Independence Day celebration in Kyiv. The administration of the channel considers that the journalist violated professional standards by starting to argue with one of the participants of the march, who held a poster in support of the President Petro Poroshenko. This information, along with the channel’s apology, was published at the ZIK website. As the TV channel points out, Kostiantyn Lokhvytskyi is a former ATO participant, he was wounded in the battle of Ilovaisk. He perceived the person supporting the President at the march as a provocation.
