Zhytomyr tax service allowed to briefing only chosen journalists

On November 20 in Zhytomyr, several media outlets were not able to get to the pre-announced briefing of the State Tax Service in Zhytomyrska oblast, the local information portal reports.

According to the media outlet, there was a list of journalists who were allowed, and many media outlets (including local First Zhytomyr channel and TVi) were not able to get there.

The topic of the briefing was “Use of protest rallies as method of pressure on activities of the State Fiscal Service in Zhytomyrska oblast”, it was summoned due to the rally with demands to fire, due to bribery, three employees of the tax service – Kuryshko, Chepel, and Sydorzhevskyi.

Journalist IDs were not good enough basis for the tax office press service to allow the journalists to the briefing – they had a list of media outlets with which they had “good relations”, and only they were allowed to pass.
