Zaxid.net took down the blog entry about the attack of Tymoshenko’s photographer against their journalist. This caused two to quit

Political reviewer of the internet media outlet Zaxid.net, Danylo Mokryk filed a letter of resignation after he was attacked by the photographer from the pool of Yulia Tymoshenko, Oleksander Prokopenko. In his comment for «Telekrytyka» he confirmed that his decision to quit was related to the incident, yet he said it would be unethical to give the specific reasons for his resignation.

The conflict emerged on May 2, in the city of Zolchev (Lvivska oblast), at the meeting of presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko with electors. As Mokryk was recording the conflict of the people who gathered, Prokopenko tried to stop him physically. Later, there was a conflict in the editorial office of Zaxid.net on whether to consider this a personal conflict of journalists, or a “ serious news”, impediment to the work of journalist. This conflict resulted in the decision of two journalists, Danylo Mokryk and his colleague Bohdan Holovko, to quit.
