Zaporizhzhya Security Service of Ukraine shows interest in Hromadske TV journalist after he argued with head of oblast Security Service

On May 12 in Berdiansk, during the city council’s session, the head of Zaporizhzhya SSU Oleksander Shmitko was rude towards the journalist of "Hromadske TV Priazovya" Ivan Siniepalov, and on May 13, the oblast SSU expressed interest in this journalist (like putting him on "suspicious people" lists at checkpoints in the oblast).

According to the journalist, the conflict emerged because he refuted the SSU head’s insinuations about alleged plans of volunteer military formations to seize power in the city, in particular, capture the building of the city council and get a "people's mayor" to rule the city. The journalist says these accusations emerged only because the head of SSU was against the procedure of impeachment of the city mayor Oleksiy Bakay in the city council.
