Zaporizhia: Prosecutors opened a case against Dniprorudne mayor on obstruction to journalist

Prosecutor of Zaporizhia region opened a criminal investigation on the activities of Mayor of Dniprorudne. This was reported on the website of the regional prosecutor's office.

Proceedings opened under the article 171, part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of journalistic activities committed by a person using his official position). Prosecutors found that the Mayor of Dniprorudne intentionally made obstruction to journalistic activities of one of the Internet publications.

In this case the prosecutor emphasize that information on the criminal offenses were made to the Unified register "for intervention and principle position of prosecutor of the Zaporizhia region Valery Romanov." Although earlier the notice on the fact of obstruction of journalistic action remained unnoticed by the local police.

"Currently, investigators are continuing investigation aimed at the full and complete investigation of all the circumstances of the incident", - the prosecutor's office said.
