Yuriy Lelyavsky released from captivity
Yuriy Lelyavsky, a Lviv-based journalist and freelance correspondent for ZIK, has been released from captivity. This was reported by his sister Inna Lelyavska on her Facebook page. She said that he was free and unharmed and thanked everybody who was helping in search for her brother captured by terrorists in Luhansk and supported her family in these arduous times.
On July 23, Yuriy Lelyavsky was taken prisoner by the terrorists for the second time. He was accompanying priests to cover their missionary activities in Luhanska oblast, and they got captured.
Later it became known that he was kept in the basement of Luhanska oblast state administration.
For the first time, he was abducted by gunmen on April 25 in Sloviansk and kept prisoner for 15 days.
