Website "Ukrayinski Novyny" under large-scale DDoS attacks
In the morning of July 3, the informational website "Ukrayinski Novyny" was down for three hours because of a DDoS attack, the agency's website reports. Thanks to efforts of the agency's technicians the attack was repelled, and the website's operation was restored.
In the last month, there have been already four attempts to bring the website down. All of them were successfully repelled.
The editor-in-chief of "Ukrayinski Novyny", Dmytro Kuzmin believes that these attacks are happening because of the media outlet's daring exposes – for instance, recently they published a list of high rank officials, like previous and current heads of governmental agencies or ministers, that live in mansions in Koncha-Zaspa and Pushcha-Vodytsia, or investigations of corruption schemes used by officials.
Ukranews.com is also actively covering the situation with Russia annexing Crimea and the anti-terrorist operation in the Eastern regions of Ukraine.
