Website of TV channel «112 Ukraina» under DDoS attack from Russia

On August 31, on 10.45 the website of the TV channel «112 Ukraina» (www.112.ua) was hit by a powerful DDoS attack from the territory of Russia, which is still continuing. This was reported by the TV channel’s press service.

The website’s technical personnel managed to identify and block the key sources of the attack, but the TV channel assumes its website may be still not available to some users due to the ongoing attacks of varied intensity. Also, these attacks interfere with the availability of the Internet in the office of the TV company, which continues informational broadcasting live.

The TV channels apologizes to its viewers and readers for the lack of fresh news and broadcasting of the TV channel on its website.

In the recent days, there have been similar attacks against the website of the TV channel «112 Ukraina».

Earlier this month, on August 8 and 19, unidentified persons reported a bomb in the building of the TV channel «112 Ukraina» in Kyiv, all its staff was evacuated. The sweep found no bombs or any explosives.

On August 4, somebody tried to blow up the transformation station of the TV channel’s building but failed.

On July 25, somebody threw a bottle with a combustible mixture at the TV channel’s building.

The police have been investigating these incidents.
