Website "Glavkom" will be blocked due to refusal to take down article about March for Federalization of Siberia

During the next 24 hours, Russia intends to completely block the Ukrainian website «Glavkom». «Glavkom»’s German hoster informed that it is ready to comply with the demand of Russia to take down a piece about separatism in Russia itself. Roskomnazor sent a letter about this to the German company.

In its turn, the German company demanded that «Glavkom» took down the material in question, otherwise it promised to block the website completely.

Currently, «Glavkom»’s technical service works on transferring the website’s databases to Ukrainian hosts.

The media outlet’s editor-in-chief apologized in advance for possible downtime of the website.

The Russian BBC branch is facing the same situation in regard of the material about Siberian separatism.
