Vot Tak filming crew targeted along UAF unit in Russian FPV drone strike near Pokrovsk
Vyacheslav Lakomkin, correspondent with the Polish media outlet TVP Vot Tak, was targeted by a Russian drone along the brigade No. 68 of the Ukrainian Armed Forces together with the fighters of the 68th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, came under attack by a Russian drone in the Pokrovsk area of the Donetsk region, the TV channel reports, citing the journalist.

No one from the crew was injured. Lakomkin suggests that the drone had landed on the roof of one of the buildings and was waiting for a Ukrainian vehicle.
According to the journalist, the drone exploded just a few meters away from the SUV in which the filming crew was traveling along with the Ukrainian soldiers.
“We arrived in Pokrovsk at night. We were driving at 140 km/h, slowing down to a hundred within the city – maneuvering between burned-down cars on the roads. In the city we drove with the windows open so that we could hear the drone in case something happens,” Lakomkin said.
The correspondent added that the electronic warfare device in the car was turned on and drone detectors were installed, but neither caught a single signal.
“And then – a sudden explosion, a bright flash. We understand that it was flying right at our car. The shell fragments hit a tree – branches and leaves rained down. Most likely, it was a cumulative or high-explosive charge – there were a lot of sparks,” continued Vyacheslav.
No one in the car was injured, the journalist specified. The car itself had several holes from the shrapnel.
“A shell fragment pierced one wheel. A piece of wood flew into the other wheel. We were already coming back with two flat tires. We feel alright. No shortage of impressions,” added Lakomkin.
The journalist suggested that the drone was either lurking on the roof of a building or was in the air in night video surveillance mode and noticed the Ukrainian car.
In April 2025, a filming crew of the Ukrainian Witness project was targeted by a Russian drone 20 kilometers from the front line, where they were stationed with soldiers from the National Guard Brigade No. 15.
