VolynPost under hard DDoS attack

Website of VolynPost news agency experienced a powerful DDoS-attack during 25th and 26th February. The agency reports.
According to the editors, the hacking was carried out 36 hours during two days.

The Office of technical support of the website explained that attacks were carried out by bots registered in many countries. On February 26, as at 1 p.m. - 1830 bots attacked the site .

Thanks to efficient reaction of a technical support group, the work of the site was quickly stabilized.
Yuri Skovoroda, director of VolynPost, connects attacks on the site with the advent of publications on political issues.
"A regional character of attacks indicates it. Obviously, someone doesn't want Volyn people to read objective information about recent political developments, and they tried to "put us down". We are very grateful to our technical support office for the efforts which made this hacking attempt a failure. VolynPost continues its work," - he said.
