Vice-head of SBU sues "Novoye Vremia" and Shabunin

Vice-Head of SBU Pavlo Demchyna filed court claim to the Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv against the publishing house Media-DK, which publishes the magazine “Novoye Vremia”, “Novoye Vremia” reports. As the media outlet reported before, the attorney Demchyna sent to the editorial office of “Novoye Vremia” two letters. In one of them, he demanded to refute the information from the article stating that Demchyna is connected with formation of monopoly of companies affiliated with Viktor Medvedchuk on the market of liquefied gas. The other letter was complaints about the quote by the head of the Center of Counteraction to Corruption, Vitaliy Shabunin, published in the article about pressure on those who stand against corruption. Shabunin named Pavlo Demchyna the person who organized actions against him, as he was insisting on publication of income declarations of SBU high officials.
