Unknown people create a clone of Ternopil website "Poglyad"
A copy of Ternopil Internet resource "Poglyad" and its Facebook page has recently been created by unknown persons. This was announced by the website's editor-in-chief Nadiya Hresa.
“Friends, help. …Someone created a fake Poglyad page and a clone of the website to spread fake news. There's a link to the page and the publication they put in the ad in the comments. Please report," Hresa wrote on Facebook.
According to the IMI representative in Ternopil region, our colleagues have been sending reports for several hours now, but the Facebook page is still active.
It states that it was created on June 20. There are no news posts there at the moment. However, under the page's name, they launched a Facebook ad with an article from the website – about the newly appointed head of the Regional Office of Water Resources in Ternopil region.
According to the IMI representative, as for the website itself, the domain name differs by one letter – instead of poGlyad.te.ua, as in the original, it says poHlyad.te.ua. At first glance, the news feed even has content, but only for June 15-17. After that, it is emty. However, if you open the links to the news, they lead to corresponding ones on the original resource. In general, any activity on the fake website redirects you to the original resource. So the Poglyad clone has only one piece of content – the one criticizing the above-mentioned official.
As Nadiya Hresa told the IMI representative, she had already turned to the Security Service of Ukraine with regards to the incident.
