Unidentified men tried to cut off electricity to office of TV channel "112 Ukraina"

On August 4, unidentified men tried to cut off electricity to the office of the TV channel “112 Ukraina”, by planting two explosive devices in the building’s transformer unit. The TV channel staff was removed from the building, the website of the TV channel reports.

One of the devices went off early but did no damage to the transformer unit.  The second device was quickly defused by the police and counterexplosive office. Thanks to smooth cooperation between the police and the TV channel’s technical staff, the channel’s broadcasting was promptly resumed.

The criminal investigation of the incident is ongoing.

Earlier, on July 25, unidentified persons threw a Molotov cocktail at the TV channel’s building; this incident is being investigated, too.
