Ukrinform staff evacuated due to bomb threat

On September 23, at 11 a.m. the police received an anonymous call from a street phone about a bomb in the building of the informational agency Ukrinform and in the building of the Khreshchatyk Hotel in Kyiv. The staff was evacuated; the building was swept for explosive devices. The informational agency’s activities were suspended temporarily.

No explosives were found, and the agency resumed its operation.
