Ukrainian journalist confirmed that he was held captive by Russian military
The journalist of the "Road Control" Rostyslav Shaposhnykov, who together with the Espresso.TV camera operator Taras Chkan and journalist Yehor Vorobiov got isolated along with the Ukrainian military near Ilovaysk, confirmed that he was held captive by the Russian military. He reported this on his Facebook page on August 2.
Earlier, it became known that Shaposhnykov together with Taras Chkan arrived to Kyiv.
Shaposhnykov confirmed that Yehor Vorobiov is still being held in the Russian military’s captivity.
In particular, Shaposhnykov wrote that he sustained no injuries. He saw no DNR fighters, only the soldiers of the Russian army. He admits he was treated in a civil way; nobody insulted or beat him. The journalists were kept separately from the Ukrainian military. The column bombardment took place on August 29, the journalists were taken prisoners on August 30, and on August 31 they were transferred to the Red Cross together with military prisoners. Unfortunately, the Russian military kept Vorobiov.
