Ukrainian journalist banned from entry to Crimea

26.11.2018, 12:04
The freelancer journalist Olena Savchuk has been banned the entry to Crimea and Russia for a term of 10 years, till 28 of August 2028. The FSB (Russian federal security service) persons delivered the banning document to the journalist at a frontier point at Dzhankoy, as to Interfax-Ukraine news agency. They interrogated Savchuk during 40 minutes and took her finger-prints. But the FSB agents refused to explain in what way the journalist presents the danger for the security of the Russian Federation, as to Savchuk. They just cited the ordinance of their chiefs. “This is the ban to entry the Crimea and Russian Federation for 10 years, until August 2028. The FSB is protecting its defence capacity and national security of the state, Savchuk noted at Facebook. This is a pity, of course. But for now, I am stepping out of the shade, I won’t restrain myself no more. I am ready to comments, talks, discussions, TV broadcastings, expert commentaries”. During several years Olena Savchuk has been covering the facts of persecution of Crimean Tatars activists and politically motivated trials in Crimea.
