Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union nominated general director of "1+1 media" for anti-award "Thistle of the year - 2015". Tkachenko considers this misunderstanding

The director general of the holding “1+1 media” Oleksander Tkachenko was nominated for the anti-award “Thirstle of the year - 2015”, awarded by Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union. Tkachenko hopes that this nomination is some kind of misunderstanding. Tkachenko was nominated "for actions against freedom of speech, namely, illegal ban of broadcasting of TV program "Shuster LIVE" (a political talk show). The director claims that he removed the program from broadcasting due to benign considerations, such as impossibility to sign the official contract and financial issues.
