Ukrainian citizen to be tried for spreading russian propaganda and creating an app for it
A Ukrainian citizen who, according to the Prosecutor General's Office, was justifying and denying the russian federation's armed aggression against Ukraine and glorifying the invaders, will stand before the court. This was announced by the PGO, writes Delo.ua.
The investigation established that a Lviv oblast nativ who has lived in Donetsk for a long time had developed and promoted a mobile app for broadcasting anti-Ukrainian content only in certain occupied districts of Donetsk oblast.
"With the help of this application, distorted information about the russian federation's aggression on the territory of Ukraine was being broadcast on the territory of the so-called 'DPR.' The accused was promoting the 'russian world,' inciting inter-ethnic and inter-confessional enmity," says the PGO.
As the PGO adds, the accused also engaged in ethnic discrimination. Thanks to the authorities' intervention, the broadcasting of anti-Ukrainian content in the temporarily occupied territories has been stopped.
