The administration of newspaper commented that this must be related to the future Presidential elections: “As soon as it is time for elections in Ukraine, mass media should expect surprises. These future elections did not become an exception”. The newspaper's office was located in the building since 1991, and the contract of lease was extended each year. Such short notice will make it impossible to move without disruption the publication of newspaper, which, as the administration of the media outlet claims, is the very purpose of this action initiated by the government. They also added that the same eviction notice was issued to the neighboring office, the one of the newspaper “Silski visti”.
