Ukraine's state-owned Channel UATV has begun broadcasting in the Crimean Tatar language targeting the audience abroad and in the Russian-occupied Crimea, according to National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council member Serhiy Kostynskyi.
"Recently, the broadcast of Ukrainian news in the Crimean Tatar language for the Crimean Tatar Diaspora has started on UATV, which broadcasts Ukraine's programs abroad. For the first time the government has designated the language of Crimean Tatars as a priority for public broadcasting to foreign countries," Kostynskyi wrote on Facebook.
