Twitter started mass blocking popular Ukrainian users
In the social network Twitter, based on the changed rules that now ban any instigation to hostility and insults, mass blocking of popular Ukrainian users started. The reason of this campaign is complaints against violations on the Ukrainian accounts by pro-Russian users and bots, MediaSapiens reports. The complaints often are filed retrospectively for messages that were made several months ago or even more than a year ago.
The Ukrainian Ambassador in Finland Andriy Olefirov calls attention to this situation, asking users to make screenshots to prove the organized nature of this anti-Ukrainian campaign. Twitter's Ukrainian segment popularizes hashtag #saveUAtwi, by which the users try to draw attention of the company's administration to this situation.
