TV Ukraina claimed its signal being repeatedly jammed

Photo credit: TV channel Ukraina The TV channel Ukraina claimed that someone tried to jam its signal once more, as to web-site of the TV channel Ukraina. “The signal of the TV channel Ukraina effectively was subject to external interferences. Two cases of interferences occurred. From 9:01 to 9:07 p.m. and from 09:15 to 09:28p.m. the millions of subscribers of satellite and cable types of signal reception had no possibility to watch the programs of the TV channel”, as Bogdan Zhdanov, head of the department of broadcasting network development, said. This is not the first time the functioning of the TV channel has been blocked. On 1st of March, the air broadcasting of the program “Main topic. Choice” was jammed. Several heads of defense and security forces departments were guests of the studio at that moment. After that incident, Viktoria Korogorod, director of TV channel Ukraina, appealed to the Head of state, the government, the law enforcement bodies “and especially to the international institutions in order to draw attention to all these incidents and helped us to renew regular and normal functioning of the mass media, as in any civilized country they do”.
