TV company «Vizyt»’s director got detained in relation to case of murder of Kremenchuk mayor

In Kremenchuk (Poltavska oblast), in relation to the case of murder of the city mayor Oleh Babayev,  the director of the local private TV company «Vizyt» Oleksander Melnyk was detained. This was reported by UNIAN.

Oleh Babayev was killed by a gunshot from a passing car on July 26.

On September 3, it became known that the police detained the suspected mediator between the contractors and the executioners of the murder of Kremenchuk mayor Oleh Babayev. The suspected mediator is a head of an NGO «On Issues of Combating Corruption» Oleksander Kryzhanovsky.  

The conflict between Kremenchuk mayor Oleh Babayev and the owners of the local TV company «Vizyt» has been going on since 2012, as Babayev wanted to force the TV company to change its form of ownership from private to communal.
