TV channel Ukraine Today’s website under DDoS attack

On January 12, the website of the internationally broadcasting Ukrainian TV channel Ukraine Today (the group «1+1 Media») uatoday.tv sustained a DDoS attack. This was reported by the media group’s press service.

The hackers tried to disrupt the website’s regular operation. The attack took place through a domain name registrar in Ukraine. The hackers’ actions rendered the website unavailable to some users, mostly abroad.

The group «1+1 Media» reminded that last year the Ukrainian news websites were attacked all the time.

For the context: on October 1, 2014, the internationally broadcasting Ukrainian TV channel Ukraine Today launched an updated version of the website uatoday.tv, whose content is entirely produced in a convergence newsroom.
