Turchinov signed law on premature termination of powers for members of National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine

The Acting President of Ukraine and speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksander Turchinov, signed the law  No. 1222-VII «On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine" for premature termination of the current members of the Council. The Parliament approved this law on April 17. The Law enables the Parliament and the President of Ukraine to change the members of the National Council by non-concurring the report of the regulator, independently. Before, both the Parliament and the President had to non-concur in order to dismiss the Council members.
