The Prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko said it on July 15 at a briefing after being interrogated by NABU (National anti-corruption bureau of Ukraine), as Ukrinform reported. "Speaking of Vyshinsky, this is really a very serious matter, and from various operational and intelligence sources I know that Vyshinsky is a person in whom the Kremlin's key persons interested in. Herewith, it should be noted that, on principle, Vyshynsky is Ukrainian national, and, consequently, his transfer to Russia is impossible. At least, until the court delivers its decision on his case, whether he is guilty, or not, "said Lutsenko. He added that if the judges find Vyshinsky not guilty, then the latter, "of course, will be a free man and can go anywhere." "If the court condemns him, then he can do it (to leave Ukraine - ed.) only after the sentence has been served," the prosecutor general added. He stressed that every two months the sitting is held on the preventive measure against Vyshinsky. "In connection with the last humane decision of the Constitutional Court, persons who are charged or suspected of crimes against the state, in the opinion of the Constitutional Court, may get preventive measure which is not arrest. This is a new concept introduced by the CCU. In this regard, we have a lot of negative reaction... Theoretically, there is the possibility that Mr. Vyshynsky may be arrested, he may be under home arrest 24 hours a day and may even be released on bail. I do not know, it depends only on the court, "he added. At the same time, the Prosecutor general emphasized that this did not mean that "for example, if a person suddenly, theoretically, will be released under house arrest, he could be swapped for our heroic defenders in Russia." "As a matter of law, no. How to solve it, let me leave it without comments. We have a good, serious practice when we exchanged hundreds of criminals for our servicemen and civilians captured by terrorists. Again I emphasize - only those who have already been condemned. We know how to solve this issue, but it is necessary that there should be no unilateral concessions to the aggressor country. This is also very important, "- said Lutsenko. As reported by IMI, on July 15, Podilsky district court of Kyiv postponed a hearing on the case of RIA Novosti-Ukraine chief Kyrylo Vyshinsky to July 19. IMI informed that on May 15th, 2018, the Security Service of Ukraine reported to reveal activity of some media institutions controlled by Russia used as tool within the hybrid war against Ukraine. The SSU detained Kyrylo Vyshynsky, head of RIA novyny Ukraine. He had been charged with high treason. First hearing within the case of Kyrylo Vyshynsky, head of the news agency RIA-novyny-Ukraine, on the merits started on April 4th. On 15th April 2019, the prosecutor’s office charged Vyshinsky with publication of 72 articles of anti-Ukrainian orientation.
