The occupiers are planning a propagandist "press tour" of Mariupol – MID
The russian Ministry of Defense is planning a so-called "press tour" to Mariupol on April 28 with the participation of foreign journalists loyal to russia.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the MID, the arrival of "journalists" on the territory of Ukraine is organized through the russian Rostov.
The MID notes that a "large-scale political provocation with an attempt to involve some Western journalists" is being prepared.
The agenda of the event includes "alternative facts" about the defense of Mariupol. Trained "witnesses" will say that Ukrainian defenders allegedly bombed the city and killed locals. To confirm this version, trained provocateurs will be presented as "eyewitnesses" who will speak about the mythical "mass killings of civilians by the Ukrainian military," the statement said.
"This action is an organic continuation of russia's policy of creating fakes that are supposed to justify putin's punishers and shift the blame for their crimes onto Ukrainians themselves. The 'Yarosh business cards' and 'crucified boys' of the past are turning into 'self-destructed' Bucha and Mariupol," the MID notes.
