The court judged to imprison Krysin for 4 years, with probation period of 2 years

On December 22, Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv city passed judgment in the case on the assault against the journalist of newspaper “Vesti” Vyacheslav Veremiy during the events of Euromaidan, Radio Liberty reports.
The court sentenced the accused, Yuriy Krysin, to four years of prison, with two years on probation.
The general prosecutor's office wanted the accused to be sentensed to six years in prison.
Krysin pleaded guilty in hooliganism.
As IMI reported before, the journalist of “Vesti” Vyacheslav Veremiy was cruelly beaten by thugs and shot in the night on the eve of February 19, 2014 on the crossing of Volodymyrska and Velyka Zhytomyrska streets in Kyiv. Vyacheslav died in emergency hospital.
Police suspects of the murder of Vyacheslav Veremiy the 45-year-old Dzhalal Dzhamalovych Aliev with nickname "Dima Dagestanets", who shot the journalist in the back. One of the people who assaulted Vyacheslav and beat him with a bat, was 41-year-old athlete, Yuriy Krysin, who was later detained by police.
