30.10.2020, 13:37

On November 4, at 4.00 p.m. IMI is hosting an online talk about the safe work of journalists under the conditions of COVID-19 .

The webinar is to be useful for all journalists who work outside their homes. It will be especially interesting for those who cover news in public places, attend press conferences, cover coronavirus in Ukraine, are forced to work in hospitals or places which are potentially dangerous.

Speakers:

Kateryna Bulavinova, Infectious Diseases Specialist, UNICEF Vaccination Expert, conducts trainings and reviews UNICEF training programs for physicians and health professionals on effective vaccination counseling.

Yevhen Maloletka, a Ukraine photojournalist, had his works published in TIME, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel, Newsweek, The Independent, El Pais, The Guardian, The Telegraph and others. From May to October 2020, the Associated Press released four stories and photo reports by Evhen Maloletka from overcrowded hospitals treating coronavirus patients. In July, in partnership with UNICEF, three videos were made for “1 + 1” broadcaster to warn the population about the epidemiological situation in Lviv region.

Iryna Zemlyana, a media expert and IMI security trainer, will host the conference.

Registered participants will get a link to the Zoom conference and will be able to ask questions during the event.

You can also send your questions to the webinar participants in advance on IMI Facebook.

The webinar will be broadcast on the IMI Facebook page.
