"Svoboda" wants to sue newspaper "Ekspres" because of interview of man who claims he funded them

17.11.2014, 00:22

The All-Ukrainian association «Svoboda» intends to sue the newspaper «Ekspres», which on November 13 published an interview with Lviv businessman Volodymyr Didukh, who is known in criminal circles as «Vova Snout». This was reported by Zaxid.net with reference to the official statement by «Svoboda.»

In his interview published in «Ekspres» on November 13 Volodymyr Didukh claimed that he funded «Svoboda», spent on it around $48 mln, and intended to return his money.

The party lawyers believe that this claim discredits the party leader Oleh Tiahnybok and the head of the party’s Economic council Ihor Kryvetsky and are preparing a lawsuit against «Ekspres» with the demand to refute Didukh’s claim. This will be the party’s seventh lawsuit against the newspaper as it published some high-profile exposes about the party’s funding and deeds of its leaders.
