Sushchenko asks the President of France to assist in his release

Enclosed in the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko has asked French President Francois Hollande personally to assist his release. This is stated in the letter Sushchenko Moscow SIZO “Lefortovo” to the head of the French Republic, UKRINFORM reported.

“Mr. President, I ask you to take part in the decision of my fate. The fate of the man who became a hostage of war and conflict, unleashed by Russia”, – he wrote.

In his letter Sushchenko recalled that his journalistic activities tried to promote friendly and partnership relations between Ukraine and France. Besides, he and his family have a high regard for France, which in the period of confrontation between Russia and Ukraine to provide maximum assistance to Kiev .

As notes the edition, the lawyer Sushchenko mark Feigin gave a corresponding letter to the authorised person from the Ministry of foreign Affairs of France last week during a visit to Paris.

“The French foreign Ministry, the lawyer was assured that the letter would be submitted to the office of the President”, – is summarized in the message.
