Sumy journalist received threat through publication on the head of RSA

Journalist, editor of Sumy.Today Evhen Okhrimenko addressed a statement to the police because of threats he received in connection with the publication of news about the head of the Sumy Oblast State Administration. IMI representative in Sumy oblast reported.

The news in the outlet for April 4, reprints Facebook post of Romny citizen Volodymyr Datsenko. The post presented photos of regulation signed by chairman of RSA. The document orders local spending units to "take measures" to maximize procurement of goods from manufacturers that have physical locations on the territory of Sumy oblast.

" A man who called himself Maksymm Shcherbina had called me. Using foul language, he expressed his support for governor and threatened to find activist who raised this topic in social networks and deal with him physically. I regard it as a threat, so turned to police," - Evhen Okhrimenko said.
Romny citizen Volodymyr Datsenko, who wrote the post Facebook, said that he also appealed to the police.

The head of Communication of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy oblast Elvira Bihanova reported that according to Okhrimenko's statement, the police initiated criminal proceedings under Article 345-1 (Threats or violence against journalists) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
