STB journalist receives death threats in comments

Iryna Fedoriv, the journalist of the STB TV channel and deputry of Kotsubynska village council (Kyivska oblast), has been receiving death threats in the comments under one of the article on the website “Hromada Pryirpinnia.” She wrote about this in her blog on the website «Ukrainska Pravda».

A person than identifies as Larysa, wrote in the comments to Fedoriv that she would curse Fedoriv and her kin and would hound her to death for what Fedoriv wrote about a local Orthdox priest.

Fedoriv together with local activists has been trying to uncover the local priest Father Mykola’s shady schemes with real estate.

The IP of the threatening commenter tracked down to a businesswoman, who lives elsewhere and runs a contruction business. This businesswoman is said to have close business ties with the priest in question.

Fedoriv filed a complaint with the police and also publicly asked the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchy to investigate the local priest’s shady deals
