Staff of TV channel "Rada" threatens to strike because of low salaries
The staff of the parliamentary TV channel "Rada" threatens to stop the broadcasting of sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine because of low salaries – from UAH 600 to 1500. It is the second month in a row that the staff is paid this kind of salaries. The staff published the declaration about this, Ukrainska Pravda informs.
"All our appeals to the channel’s head Vasyl Klymchuk failed. The director, engaging help of his relative, people’s deputy Mykola Tomenko, does not want to deal with the staff’s problems, as he mainly works on development of his own commercial channel, "HDFASHION"", the representatives of the "Rada" staff shared.
In response to appeals and complaints, the director threatens, intimidates, and forces to resign the staff members, who dare to complain. In the last two months, fifteen employees have been forced to resign.
The staff addressed the Parliament administration with a request to deal with this situation – they demand, first of all, a comprehensive audit of the channel’s activities, increase of salaries, and resignation of Klymchuk from his position.
Help us be even more cool!
