Staff of Crimean "Center for journalist investigations" is summoned to FSB; its website down to DDoS attacks
The staff of the Crimean informational Agency "Center for journalist investigations" informed that their website is temporarily down due to DDoS attacks. The attacks against their server located in Germany was so intense that the hoster decided to take it offline for a while. The tech support is addressing the issue. The news for now are being published on the Center’s Facebook page.
Earlier, on September 2, the editorial mail account of the "Center for journalist investigations" was hacked, and the Center’s staff was being summoned for the so-called conversations to the local branch of the Federal Security Service of Russia and to the local prosecutor’s office.
The staff believes this to be a form of pressure on them as an independent media outlet.
