SSCS employee Vitaliy Polonnikov killed in combat

Senior lieutenant Vitaliy Polonnikov, acting deputy director of the unmanned systems department of the State Special Communications Administration, has been killed in combat, reports the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine.

"In the first days of the full-scale invasion, Vitaliy stood up to defend our country and performed his military duties faithfully," says the SSCS.

Vitaliy served in the territorial defense brigades No. 112 and 119, as well as the separate mechanized brigade No. 47.

"We express our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased. Eternal glory to the defender of Ukraine," the message reads.

We will remind you that a petition asking the President of Ukraine to posthumously award Lutsk cameraman, soldier Yuriy Silyuk, who died on April 26, 2024 in Donetsk oblast, the title Hero of Ukaine has been registered on the President's website.
