Since 1 of July Alasania reinstated in office of Chairman of UA:PBC board

Since 1^st of July, Zurab Alasania has been formally reinstated in position of the chairman of the board of National public broadcasting company of Ukraine UA:PBC, as to UA:PBC. "As the Supervisory Board canceled its decision by itself, Zurab Alasania has been reinstated in his position of the Chairman of the Supervisory board of the “UA: PBC” until the court decision comes into force," the statement reads. IMI informed, on June 27, the Supervisory board of the NPBU cancelled its decision to terminate the contract with Chairman Zurab Alasania of January 31, 2019. On June 19, the Shevchenkivsky district court in Kyiv invalidated the decision of the Supervisory board of the National public broadcasting company of Ukraine of January 31, 2019, to terminate Alasania’s contract. On January 31 UA:PBC's supervisory board on January 31, 2019, with nine votes out of 12, supported the termination of the contract with Alasania. On February 12, UA:PBC's supervisory board postponed the decision on termination of Alasania's contract until May 6. Zurab Alasania filed a lawsuit demanding to revoke the decisions of the Supervisory board of NPBU on early termination of his contract. On May 10, the Economic court of Kyiv dismissed the claim of the member of the Supervisory board of NPBC Yevhen Hlibovitsky regarding the early termination of the contract with the chairman of the board Zurab Alasania. On April 19, the Shevchenkivsky district court in Kyiv postponed a hearing to June 11 to revoke the decision of the Supervisory board of NPBC of January 31 as to early termination of the contract with the head of the board Zurab Alasania.
