Sevastopol Mayor demands to retract information about idle CAT scanner of Yanukovych

22.01.2013, 08:00
Head of the Sevastopol City Administration Volodymyr Yatsuba demands journalists to formally retract the information that the CAT scanner, presented by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to #1 city hospital, is idle because it is not paid.  Yatsuba said this on January 21, 2013, at a session of the City Administration, “Sobytiya Kryma” reported.

According to him, if no retraction is posted, he will be forced to use other methods of influence.

According to Yatsuba, journalists in this case confused the X-ray machine and the CAT scanner. He noted that, indeed, there is a problem with fees for the X-ray machine in #9 city hospital in Balaklava. However, he said, the city administration is looking for ways to solve this problem.

Yatsuba instructed his deputy Vladimir Arabadji and head of the City Health Department Victor Pologov to hold a special meeting with journalists, and to highlight the issue in detail.

As for the CAT scanner, Yatsuba assured that the delay of its operation is solely technical. The new hospital building is prepared for its installation, he added, with inviting journalists to opening of the scanner cabinet on February 15.
