Sentsov to receive Sakharov prize in European Parliament on October 23

Oleg Sentsov, film director and former Kremlin prisoner, released on September, will receive the Sakharov Prize on October 23 in Strasbourg,as it was reported in a tweet by a journalist of the Brussels branch of Radio Liberty, Ricard Yozvyak, reports Ukrainian national novyny (UNN).

"Sentsov will get his Sakharov Prize in Strasbourg on October 23," Yozvyak said.

We will remind, earlier it became known that the European Parliament has sent an invitation to the Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov to go to Strasbourg for granting him the Sakharov Prize.

Earlier, Oleg Sentsov said he planned to visit European countries and tell people about political prisoners who remain in jails in Russia.
