Security of Novovolynsk plant attacked editor online media outlet "BUH"

On March 12, in the town of Novovolynsk, Volynska oblast, the editor of the online media outlet “BUH” Andriy Medyna was attacked by unindentified persons, which said they were security guards of the plant “Kronospan UA”. This was reported on the website of BUH.

The incident took place when the editor was recording a video near the territory of the plant for the story about the environmental situation in Novovolynsk and the role the notorious plant has been playing in it. Medyna was filming when some men came up to him and started asking who he was and what he was filming. The journalist introduced himself and explained that he was outside the territory of the plant and thus is free to film whatever he chooses. A camouflaged man would not tell his name, flapped his ID, and began to punch the journalist, threaten him and cursed at him. Another man jointed the attacker and pushed the journalist. Medyna called the police, and the men withdrew to the territory of the plant.
